The Bracelet
Are you familiar with the Samaritan's Purse "Operation Christmas Child
(OCC)" program?
Essentially, hundreds upon hundreds of folks meet in Charlotte every
fall to stuff shoe boxes with all sorts of goodies (i.e. candy, toys,
etc.) that are subsequently sent to children throughout the world. It's
a life-changing mission as it's benefited and brought happiness to a
multitude of kids and families over the years! By following the OCC
model, we're basically doing the same thing. BUT instead of a shoe box,
how about a universal message of hope and love affixed to a bright,
festive, fun bracelet?
KIC + MAD is a two-part message. The mantra, KIC, stands for "Kindness
is Cool". Basically it's a statement (KIC), followed by a call to
action, "Make a Difference" (MAD). This six-letter acronym is featured
on a bright, obnoxiously wide/bright, fuchsia-colored bracelet that can
be seen from 30-yards away and purposely so. It's designed for an
intended audience, those being our kids.
